Occupational Therapy
Mini Milestones Occupational Therapy offers a creative and fun way for children to develop their skills through the use of a variety of tools including a ball pit, climbing wall, monkey bars, ladders, crash pads, scooter boards, bikes, sensory toys, and much more.
Our combined novel movement experiences and table-top activities are suitable for both neurotypical and neurodivergent children of all ages and can help to address delays in fine motor skills, visual motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory processing skills, social emotional development and more.
At Mini Milestones, we work together with our clients to create a safe, fun and engaging environment for children of all ages and abilities. We provide customized approaches that focus on helping children reach their maximum potential, while making sure they feel supported, accepted and respected throughout their journey.
We use a combination of play-based activities and evidence-based techniques to help children gain skills to support future development. We believe that children learn best when they're having fun and our goal is to make sure that they don't even realize they are in skilled therapy - they think they are just on a fun playdate!
Feeding
Your child may need a feeding specialist if they are:

displaying disruptive or inappropriate mealtime behaviors for developmental levels
-
failing to master self-feeding skills expected for developmental levels
-
failing to use developmentally appropriate feeding devices and utensil
-
experiencing less than optimal growth
-
having limited variety of intake options
At Mini Milestones, we will work with your child to address poor oral motor skills for chewing/swallowing liquids and/or solids, limited appetite, selective intake, fear of feeding, and/or oral/environmental sensory aversions to foods for babies, toddlers and children. We begin our services at the developmental age of food exploration and messy play (varies beginning around 6 months) through to school-aged children.
We do not evaluate or treat for infant nursing or bottle feeding.
It is best practice to have additional training specific to the developmental feeding needs, skills, and clinical intervention of this age group. We highly recommend finding an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) and/or speak to your pediatrician about additional options.
Sensory Gym
Mini Milestones Sensory Gym is the perfect place for children to grow and progress in their sensory and motor skills! Our sensory motor equipment offers age-appropriate challenges to help develop motor planning, sensory processing skills, impulse control, increased confidence and additional foundational skills for higher level cognitive processes.
With our skilled clinical staff, your child will learn valuable life skills while experiencing growth and progress in a safe, fun environment. Come experience the joy of learning at Mini Milestones!
